Tina Patel

Tina wanted to achieve a healthier lifestyle, and was keen to improve her eating habits and tone up. Working for a large bank and having to travel quite frequently around the country meant her routine and lifestyle was hard to keep in a specific routine.

She did train in the gym but found the process boring and wasn’t seeing the results she wanted therefore was becoming frustrated.

With the Personal training sessions we brought in kettlebell and boxing to get some results and made the sessions even more varied and fun. With her own training sessions in the gym we set some goals that she had to achieve between our sessions, this gave her some focus for the next few days.

Finally a vegetarian meal plan was devised and a weekly food diary monitored to ensure that she had a new boost of energy and that it was helping and working alongside her training to achieve her fitness and body shape goals.

“Tina has a very typical executive lifestyle and is always on the go. If I said ‘go for a 40 min cardio session’, she would get bored very quickly …if I said ‘see how quickly you can do 5K then you will see her constantly trying to get a new personal best. Humour is a big part of our relationship and her stubbornness not to be beaten is probably why we get on so well together”

"I started training with Simon for two reasons, first I was really struggling with the lack of energy I had and secondly the idea of going to the gym was becoming a huge chore! The first meeting with Simon I told him exactly that and thought he would be put off by the fact that my goals were not really big (running marathons, wanting a 6 pack, lose lots of weight etc), however he wasn’t at all and talked me through how we would run our sessions and more importantly how I would have to change my diet (the not eating for 8 hours had to go and having breakfast was a real must).

The words ‘I can’t’ do not exist in the training sessions and Simon has an amazing ability to push you that little bit more when you’ve had enough. Simons energy and enthusiasm in every session is infectious and you always walk away from the sessions with loads more energy and in my case its gives me the motivation to then go to the gym alone for the remainder of the week. I wanted training to become a part of my lifestyle and Simon has allowed me to achieve this and it’s no longer a chore. I do miss the sessions if I have to cancel and that must prove how much I enjoy them. The motivation, enthusiasm, energy, the can do attitude makes Simon a fantastic trainer, but the sensitive and understanding nature also makes him a mate."
